Happy first day of 2017! I’m so looking forward to the adventures that this new year will bring. Even though I’m looking forward to a fresh start in a new year, I have to think back to the goodness of 2016. It was our busiest photography year – ever, which is so amazing since we spent half of 2015 living in Italy! In the past year, we photographed weddings all over Florida and an out of state wedding in North Carolina. We were guests at a handful of weddings, including our besties Emily and Thomas and our little sister and new brother in law. I accidentally matched the bridesmaids at a Gainesville wedding and David always found time to rock out to his favorite songs during the reception. We built our own photo booth and always took time to take silly test shots. We photographed in the rain, on the beach, under huge oak trees, in the summer heat, and in the winter heat #floridaproblems. We met so many wonderful people and truly felt welcomed into so many new families. Thank you for inviting us to photograph your most special day! Ok, here we go – our 2016 Behind the Scenes photos!
Here’s a look back at 2015 and 2014 and 2013.
The day I accidentally became a bridesmaid… I kinda loved it.My crush on David started while watching him play guitar in our church youth group band so I’m all about the air guitar!
When you photograph a wedding during Hurricane Matthew, you gotta buy matching ponchos at Walmart.
Just trying to get a new headshot when a MOSQUITO decided to make an appearance and almost fly into my mouth!
David always finds the animals!Styled Shoots with Emily and Thomas, aka: the DREAM TEAM!
And then a massive Florida thunderstorm rolled in and we ran our camera gear to the cars and danced in the rain!Still smiling while photographing a July wedding in Florida (!!) because Kristin and Zach’s wedding was just soo gorgeous!
Dancing with my bride/high school bestie!!Not photography related but 2016 will always be remembered as the year WE BOUGHT A HOUSE with a HOT TUB!Photo booth test shots!
I think the guys on the wall are checking me out…
My sister would l-o-v-e this butterfly bench!
The dress I’m wearing was obviously my go-to for 2016… Thanks Loft! Once a wolf, always a wolf.David and Kristin probably talking about their mutual love of the Gators or Colorado or soft pink bridesmaids dresses.Loved being Paige’s assistant (of Two Peas Events) at Eric and Kelly’s wedding in May!
I’ve done this way more than three times in the past year… 😉Typical me getting in the way of David’s shots during exits. Sorry hubs! When you find the perfect shady spot on a bright, sunny summer day!
2016 was the year of wonderful Bride and Grooms! Can’t wait to see what’s in store for the new year!
We’re ready for you, 2017!!
