Ashley and Devin were married on Saturday at SeaScapes Beach House, the restaurant and event space located at the Southern tip of MacDill Air Force Base. It was so cool to drive through the base, past huge airplanes and giant hangers, to get to the venue! Ashley and Devin met through a mutual friend and hit it off right away. A few weeks later, Devin and Ashley’s Dad randomly ended up on the same flight from Tampa to D.C. and sat near each other! They hit it off right away, too. Such a fun story! Ashley and Devin are the perfect match with the sweetest hearts. Their beach ceremony was officiated by Ashley’s brother and the couple shared their own vows. Their words to each other were thoughtful and so soooo sweet. Their special day was filled with their favorite people, a little bit of rain, creative DIY beachy details, a great party (including an epic toast turned personalized rap by the MOH!) and so much love. Congratulations, Ashley and Devin!! I am so honored and glad that I was there to capture your most special day. Your love is beautiful and your wedding is officially now one of my favorites! Have the best time in Hawaii!!

Lisa and Brandon got married on Saturday at the beautiful Tampa Bay Watch near St. Pete Beach! Lisa and Brandon were surrounded by their closest friends and family, with so much love and support. It was an overcast, cloudy day but the sun popped out in the evening for a gorgeous sunset. Before the wedding, I asked Lisa what she was most excited about and she whole-heartedly said, “I can’t wait to just enjoy all of it, to finally get to experience all that we’ve been planning and to have all of our family together.” I’m so glad that they had the wedding they were hoping for and truly got to enjoy it all! It was the perfect day (with amazing vendors)!!

It’s that time of year! One of my favorite blog posts – our annual Behind the Scenes photos! In 2017, we photographed a handful of weddings, multiple growing belly bumps, precious newborns and over 30 mini family sessions in the Fall AND David and I became Mom and Dad when we welcomed our sweet son this summer! It’s been a wonderful year for our family and for my business. We are so thankful and looking forward to all that 2018 will bring!
Here’s a look back at our behind the scenes posts in 2016 and 2015 and 2014 and 2013!
So fun to look through them and relive so many special events!
CJ and Jen became Mr. and Mrs. Tihoni on Saturday at the beautiful Lake Mary Events Center, one of my favorite Central Florida venues! Their entire day was so calm, joyful, and full of love!! Jen had the biggest smile on her face all day and CJ beamed with love for his gorgeous bride. One of my absolute favorite moments was during their ceremony, when CJ surprised Jen by reading his own vows, instead of the traditional ones. He talked about when he first saw her on the jungle gym in the first grade!! These two have grown up together and built a strong friendship that will take them far in their marriage. Their wedding day was put on by an amazing team of vendors. It was seriously a dream team! I’m so excited to share CJ and Jen’s special day with you all!

Are you ready for a story about how these two put together a GORGEOUS wedding in less than 24 hours?? Maria and Clay got engaged over the summer and had been planning an intimate, destination wedding in Italy for just the two of them in November. Maria bought a Monique Lhuillier dress from The Collection Bridal in Winter Park and sparkly Badgley Mischka heels, Clay picked out a handsome suit, they got all the details in order, and it was finally time to pack their bags for their big trip. On the way to the airport on Thursday, they got a call about a family emergency and had to immediately cancel their flights. They turned their car around and headed back home to be with their family. Fortunately, everything with their family turned out ok and even though they weren’t in Italy, they were still together. They decided that they still wanted to get married on Saturday. Maria and Clay started texting and calling people to try to arrange a ceremony for the next day. When Maria texted me and shared their story, my heart broke for them and I was so eager to help! I taught Kindergarten with Maria last school year and I knew that she deserved the wedding of her dreams. She is the sweetest!! When I arrived at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa, I was so impressed with Maria and Jenna, the thoughtful on-site coordinators, who made sure everything was perfect for the ceremony. Maria transformed into a beautiful bride with the help of the on-site hair and makeup artist and carried a white rose bouquet crafted by a florist near her mom’s house. After searching online, they found a wonderful officiant to perform their ceremony. The details of their impromptu wedding came together quickly. These newlyweds may not have gotten married on the Almafi Coast but they did become husband and wife in the town that Maria grew up and in a private ceremony with just the two of them. It was perfect. I’m so honored to have photographed this special event and to have witnessed their wedding! So excited for you two and all that’s to come!!
